An Emergency Shelter is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Support Groups - a free forum to listen or talk with others dealing with abuse - past or present. Court Advocacy, assistance with obtaining restraining orders and other court appearances. Hospital Advocacy, in-person hospital support to victims of domestic and/or sexual violence. Resource Center - offering books, videos, and information about domestic and sexual violence for victims, their families, and friends. Client's Rights: Your Rights While Using Starting Point's Services. In the year 2005: Served 459 individuals through more than 1,718 crisis calls. Offered court advocacy services to victims in over 238 court cases. Provided 1,253 bednights of emergency shelter to 28 women and 14 children.
