Emergency Shelter Emergency shelter is available for women and children who are currently in danger as a result of domestic violence in their lives. Domestic violence shelters in New Hampshire provide bedrooms, kitchen and laundry facilities and common areas in secure and often undisclosed settings. While staying at the shelter, guests receive ongoing assistance and support as they work to achieve short and long-term goals. Starting Point operates one of 12 emergency shelters for victims of domestic and sexual violence in New Hampshire. Additional shelters are located throughout the country.
