Love Shouldn’t Be Scary Campaign

Love Shouldn’t Be Scary” a Starting Point campaign, will be taking place throughout the month of October in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Love Monsters will be hosted by schools and businesses throughout Carroll County to emphasize positive attributes of healthy relationships and healthy dating characteristics such as, mutual respect, shared values, empathy, and honest communication. If your business would like to host a Love Monster to live in your store window for the month of October (Domestic Violence Awareness Month) please email community@startingpointnh.org.

As part of the “Love Shouldn’t Be Scary” initiative, Carroll County residents under the age of 18 are encouraged to enter essay submissions and/or artwork describing why love shouldn’t be scary! Three winners in each category will be chosen to receive cash awards and will have their submissions exhibited in the newspaper, social media, and at Starting Point’s 2020 annual fundraiser Boots ‘N Bling.
