Second annual Trillium Summit set for June 8 in Jackson

  • DateMay 10, 2019

JACKSON — The second Trillium Summit, a leadership workshop for women and girls, will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at The Whitney Community Center in Jackson from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

As you may know, Trillium Summit is a not-for-profit initiative intended to enrich and empower the lives of girls and women in The Mount Washington Valley and beyond. This year the day will include a welcome from the Mount Washington Valley’s own 19-year old musician/vocalist Riley Parkhurst, a panel discussion with high school (and a little bit older) leaders, and interactive breakout sessions facilitated by Gail Pomeroy Doktor. There will be crafts throughout the day. We hope that this workshop will help girls and women explore their own strengths, learn new skills, become better communicators and focus on healthy relationships with others.

While open to all (please help us spread the word!), attendees under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. The workshop is free, and snacks will be provided. Yay, snacks! Donations are welcome, and all proceeds from this workshop will be given directly to Starting Point: Services for Victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence.
