Our Services

24/7/365 means no matter what time or day it is victims will not be alone. Advocates return calls within minutes and dispatch to hospital or courts when needed. Although the line is called a crisis line it’s not just for emergencies. It’s also a support line for victims and survivors with questions or who are working on their healing. It’s also for family and friends who may be struggling to help those in need. We also provide support to local and statewide partners working with victims.

Starting Point’s shelter, the Grace House, can house as many as thirteen people, five adults and up to eight children. The Grace House is in a non-disclosed location. Shelter Advocates offer individualized programs designed to help a victim move from victimization to survivorhood and eventually move on to thrive again. Programs provide a continuum of care by connecting guests to community agencies and networks.

Advocates accompany victims and survivors to court and the hospital and provide personal advocacy when needed. Helping to eliminate barriers that prevent them from moving through their victimization to survivorhood.

The Grace House provides ongoing support groups in-house for those who are newly healing from victimization. Ongoing support groups are also held for survivors. To learn more about current groups being offered, please call 1-800-336-3795 or email community@startingpointnh.org

Prevention Advocates attend to all schools in Carroll County providing a Healthy Relationship curriculum. The curriculum addresses self-care, reflection on healthy relationships, consensual behaviors, allied supports and inclusion. Prevention Specialists can also be called upon to address stakeholders and to provide in-school intervention support when needed.
