At Starting Point, we believe in the power of education to transform lives and communities. Our Prevention Education initiative is a cornerstone of our mission to end the cycle of violence and promote healthier, safer relationships for all.
Why Prevention Education?
Prevention education is not just about equipping individuals with the knowledge to protect themselves and others. It’s about fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding. By educating our children about healthy relationships, we can help break the cycle of violence and create a safer, more compassionate society for everyone.
Our Approach
Our workshops and trainings are designed to be age-appropriate, engaging, informative, and impactful. We can cover a wide range of topics, all aimed at promoting healthy relationships and preventing violence. These include:
- Understanding and identifying domestic violence
- Recognizing emotional and verbal abuse
- Understanding the effects of domestic violence on children
- How to support someone impacted by relationship abuse or sexual assault
- Addressing sexual harassment
- Dealing with stalking
- Accessing crisis and support services
Who Can Benefit?
Our Prevention Education program is designed for everyone. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, survivor, or supporter, there’s something for you. We believe that everyone has a role to play in preventing violence and promoting healthy relationships.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” – Nelson Mandela
We hope that through our Prevention Education initiative, we can bring about real, lasting change in our community.
