302 West Smokehouse & Tavern’s Charitable Sunday to Benefit Starting Point

  • DateApril 6, 2016

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and 302 West Smokehouse and Tavern in Fryeburg has chosen as April’s “Charitable Sunday” recipient Starting Point: Services for Victims of Domestic & Sexual Violence. The restaurant will donate 10% of all food sales on Sundays in April to the non-profit. 302 West opens at 9:00AM on Sundays for brunch and stays open all day, closing at 10:00PM.

Starting Point is gearing up for its annual Boots ‘n Bling western themed dinner/dance/auction fundraiser on May 21, and staff and board members will be on site at 302 West Sundays in April with Starting Point literature, raffle tickets, and promotions for Boots ‘n Bling. During this countdown to Boots ‘n Bling, Starting Point is very excited to be raffling off a Stone Mountain Arts Center “SMAC 6-Pack” consisting of any six shows priced at $50 or less with no handling fees, plus six dinners. This package has an estimated value of $250. Raffle tickets are $5 apiece, or five for $20. Tickets are available at 302 West or via the Starting Point website’s donations page at startingpointnh.org. The drawing will be at the end of the month.

Starting Point is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that quality services are provided to victims of relationship violence and sexual abuse, preventing future relationship violence, promoting social change, and encouraging accountability and education for perpetrators and stalkers. In addition to operating a shelter for victims and families, services include a 24 hour telephone support line, court and hospital advocacy, Child Advocacy Center accompaniment, education and prevention programs in schools, professional and community education programs, extensive volunteer training, and working with survivors to transition out of shelter.
