National Day of Service – January 16 -19, 2021

Join us this weekend thru Tuesday January 19th to raise awareness for Starting Point during a national Day of Service!

Too many victims have to walk away from their homes in the middle of the night in order to be safe. You can help us by donating gift cards to cover essentials for victims who arrive at our shelter or call our crisis line with truly little more than the clothes on their backs. Our federal funds help to pay for our shelter and crisis line services, but it is through local giving that we are able to meet many of the essential needs of victims and their children.

Why gift cards?

Gift cards give our clients autonomy and anonymity, allowing them to shop for themselves and their children. Gift cards are also an effective tool in the field, helping advocates address essential needs on the spot, often at 3am or in a hospital or crisis situation. Some times it is a tank of gas that is the difference between staying in an abusive situation or safety.

Gift Cards for food, gas and goods are extremely helpful. But, if you have cards gathering dust – re-gifting those coffeeshop or bookstore gift cards allows us to provide a sense of relief too!

Learn more about Starting Point’s services and the work of our advocates at our “Virtual Open House’ Tuesday January 19th at 7pm on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/startingpointnh.
